Wedding Prep ◈ 2.5-3 Hours

Wedding Prep is essential to your wedding day. Some moments that are documented are posed, while others are candid and includes the little details that may your day significant: sentimental items, wedding gown, accessories, wedding gifts, candid moments with the bride, groom and their wedding party.

First Look ◈ 30 Minutes

A First Look is a new tradition couples are implementing on their Wedding Day. Weddings are very fast paced, and sometimes, the Bride and Groom will have very little time to themselves once the party has started. A First Look provides an intimate moment shared just between the couple, and is ideal for people who suffer from stage fright or anxiety. It is also a good opportunity to have a mini Bridal and Groom Session. It is also the optimal time to include Formal Photos of the Wedding Party and immediate family members (parents, siblings).

Wedding Formals ◈ 30 Minutes

Wedding Formals can either be posed, candid or fun. My recommendation to make this process seamless is to create a detailed list of all immediate family members a week prior to the wedding date (i.e. Bride + MOB, Groom + FOG, Bride and Groom with MOB + FOB, etc). To make sure that everyone is where they need to be, the individuals on the list need to know where to be at and at what time beforehand. The less time we spend looking for individuals, the faster this process will go.

Wedding Ceremony ◈ 20 minutes - 1 Hour

Wedding Ceremony times vary based on religion and spiritual context. Catholic Weddings tend to last around an hour, while Non Traditional and smaller intimate ceremonies last no longer than 20-30 minutes. Unlike Wedding Prep and Formals, wedding ceremonies happen in live time. To ensure that this process is also seamless, a Wedding Program is helpful if one is available. Another way is to fine comb the details of the wedding day activities prior for tips during the 2nd follow up consultation.

Wedding Details + Reception

Once the ceremony and formal photos are completed, the wedding reception will also be photographed in live action. This consists of both some posed photos, but most candid as the reception goes on. Most New Orleans Wedding Receptions include Wedding Party Introductions, First Dances, Toasts to the Bride + Groom, Cake Cutting, Bouquet and Garter Toss, Money Dances and 2nd Line Bands. I also include guests photos of those willing to take photographs. To include details of the Wedding Reception, the area should be completely empty of all guests prior to the start of the reception. A Cocktail hour remedies this to keep guests out of the reception area.
